Kick out Trump’s Nukes! Join the international peace camp at RAF Lakenheath, 1-4 April

Protestors from across the country are joining the international peace camp at RAF Lakenheath next week, running from 1-6 April. Coaches are organised for a large ‘give peace a chance’ demonstration and blockade taking place at the main gate on Saturday, 4 April.

Since last year’s camp, special nuclear flights were tracked and spotted landing there on two occasions, a clear indication that US B61-12 nuclear bombs under the control of Donald Trump have now been deployed to Britain. RAF Lakenheath and nearby RAF Mildenhall have been key logistical and transport hubs for US support of Israel’s genocide against Palestinians. Now, the bases are supporting the ongoing illegal US-Israeli attacks on Iran. Since February, F-35 fighter-bombers have been regularly landing at Lakenheath before departing for the Middle East, while refuelling aircraft from Mildenhall have been supporting the F-35s as well as B-1 and B-52 heavy bombers flying from RAF Fairford to attack Iran.

This year’s peace camp comes at a crucial time as opposition to Trump’s warmongering and the awareness of the presence and role of US bases in Britain grows. To see a full camp schedule and to register to attend, please see the Lakenheath Alliance for Peace website here.

For those who can’t attend the full camp, a big day of action is being planned for Saturday 4 April, including a blockade of the base’s main gate. Coaches are being arranged by CND groups across the country, including London, Manchester, Yorkshire, the West Midland, Oxford, and Norwich. Book your spot today here.

This huge digital billboard will be driven around in advance of the protest to raise awareness about our ‘Kick Out Trump’s Nukes’ campaign and build local support for the demonstration on 4 April. We’ll be taking the van around Norwich, Cambridge, and local villages closer to RAF Lakenheath to help create a good buzz throughout the peace camp!
