Today justice was NOT served.
But we’re fighting back.
This morning,
PSC Director Ben Jamal and Chris Nineham, Stop the War Vice Chair, were found guilty on all charges for organising a peaceful protest for Palestine in January 2025.
This verdict is a blow to the rights of every one of us to protest for Palestine, and against Israel’s genocide in Gaza.
We refuse to be silenced by institutions trying to crush the movement for Palestine.
Our fight is far from over. But we need the support of all those who seek justice for Palestinians – please stand with us and donate today so we can continue our work to protest for Palestine. Donate to our fight backToday marks a low point in Britain’s democracy and proud history of protest.
We have serious concerns about the conduct of the trial itself. As an example, the judge dismissed the defence’s argument that the police conditions imposed on the march were illegal.
No reasons were given for his decision. It is clear. The police and government are blatantly ramping up their attacks on our fundamental rights and civil liberties, in an attempt to cover up their complicity in Israel’s genocide.
With your help we must make today a turning point. Donate to our fight backToday, we will not back down in the face of draconian laws and rulings set by the Met Police and Keir Starmer’s government in the courts.
Instead, we declare that we are not going away, and we will only fight harder and protest louder. We will appeal.
We will not stop exercising our right to protest until Palestine is free – from the river to the sea. Donate to PSCIt is our duty to remember the horrific circumstances we are fighting against.
When we marched in January 2025, Israel had killed at least 49,000 Palestinians in Gaza.
Since then, they have killed at least 23,000 more. And despite the so-called ceasefire,
Israel’s genocide in Gaza has not ended. Millions are still without homes, Israel continues to block the delivery of humanitarian aid, and near-daily attacks have killed at least 691 Palestinians since the truce supposedly came into effect.
Israeli settler and military attacks against Palestinians in the West Bank are daily, and just this week, Israel passed a new apartheid law introducing the death penalty as a punishment for Palestinians.
We protested that law. We’ve continued to protest all along. And we will not stop now.
Our need to speak out for the Palestinian people remains so important now. Together, we can bring British complicity in this genocide to an end.
Peter, please support us with a donation today. Donate to PSCThank you for everything you have done for the Palestinian people during their darkest hour and for
PSC as we have fought these baseless charges.
Please donate if you can. Help us continue to fight for our right to protest. In Solidarity,
Simon Foster
PSC Deputy Director
