Lakenheath demonstration

Activists are set to blockade an airbase as part of a peace vigil. The

demonstration, organised by the Lakenheath Alliance for Peace, is part of
their Easter Peace Camp, and will include a 24-hour-a-day presence at the
gates of RAF Lakenheath. The vigil, which began at 4pm on Wednesday, is
planned to continue until 3pm on Monday, April 6. Participants have been
voicing their concerns to the base, including co-author Angie Zelter over
concerns of possible nuclear weapons at the base and involvement with
ongoing conflicts. She added that participants approached the main gate to
hand in a letter to the Base Commander but it was refused.
