Stop Trump’s Wars – End the US-UK Alliance

This week the world watched in horror as Trump threatened the annihilation of Iran. The ceasefire was welcomed, not least by Iranians. But for Lebanon there has been no ceasefire. Instead Israel intensified its bombing campaign, killing more than 300 people in just one night.
The ceasefire that does exist is being strained to the limits, and the Strait of Hormuz remains closed. Read our statement on the ceasefire here.
Starmer’s silence over Trump’s criminal and genocidal threats tells us all we need to know about his inability to stand up to the US president. Starmer clearly wants to cling to the ‘special relationship’, even as Trump is dismissive of the UK and insults him personally, enabling the use of British bases for the US campaign against Iran while pretending not to be involved in the war.
To find out more about where these momentous events may lead, join our webinar with CND on Monday evening with Diane Abbott, Maryam Eslamdoust, Tariq Ali, Sophie Bolt and Lindsey German.
On Saturday 25 April we are holding a protest at RAF Fairford, where we will be calling for the US to get out of British bases.
On the evening the Crime and Policing Bill returns to the Commons the Palestine coalition will be outside Parliament demanding MPs oppose this attempt to give police the power to ban repeat protests. Read all about the proposed Bill and the threat it poses for our freedom to protest. And join us on Tuesday to protest this grave attack on our civil liberties.

International Conference Against War – London Saturday 20 June

Trump’s desire to withdrawal from NATO and his derisive comments about the UK military is leading to calls to turbocharge our rearmament programme at the expense of welfare.
European leaders are also seeking to rearm on a massive scale and are using the US withdrawal from Europe and fear that Russia has been strengthened by the Middle East war to add impetus to the move to prepare the continent for war.
The need for strong Europe-wide anti-war action has never been greater. The timing of our upcoming conference could hardly be more pertinent. Join this critical conference in London on Saturday 20 June.
National march for Palestine – 16 May

Join us for the next national Palestine march in central London on Saturday 16 May.
In another shameful attempt to silence the Palestine movement the Met police have refused permission for our march route. Instead they have granted the entire political centre of London to ‘Tommy Robinson’ and his far-right thugs. They want to take the Palestine movement off the streets but that will never happen. We demand this decision is overturned. We will march.
Please see our open letter to the Met Police signed by MPs, trade union and civil society leaders and prominent individuals. And get ready to join our letter writing campaign on Monday.
