Protest at RAF Fairford: No War on Iran!

Hello CND Groups,

Despite the officially announced ceasefire, CND still has grave concerns about the war on Iran and Lebanon. Trump and Netanyahu’s war has been a brutal and illegal onslaught, creating a humanitarian disaster and causing the destruction of infrastructure, environmental damage, and economic crisis. Trump’s threat last week to destroy a civilisation, with its implied threat of nuclear war, sent a chill around the world.

Shamefully UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer has been complicit in this illegal war, and we continue our demand he stops allowing US planes to use British bases. One of these is RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire. Since the start of the war, long-range heavy bombers at RAF Fairford have been carrying out twice daily bombing missions on Iran. The base is absolutely central to Trump’s illegal war. And, despite the ceasefire, these huge US bombers are still there.

This is why CND, Stop the War, and Fairford Action are organising a demonstration outside RAF Fairford on Saturday, 25 April from 12 noon: can your group join us?
