The disgraceful decision by the Met Police to hand over central London to the far-right ‘Tommy Robinson’ march on the day of the annual Nakba protest must be opposed. Read the Palestine Coalition statement here.
The police have refused the Palestine movement’s request to march in central London to commemorate Nakba day on 16 May, although our request was submitted on 18 December. This appears to be part of a concerted effort to suppress the Palestine movement and restrict our rights to protest.
We will not allow the question of Palestine to be marginalised in this way and will resist this attempt by the police to favour the far-right.
What you can do:
End the US-UK Alliance

On Saturday 25 April we are holding a protest at RAF Fairford, where we will be calling for the US to get out of British bases. British bases have been vital to the illegal war on Iran, with heavy bombers leaving Fairford regularly.
Join the protest to say US out of British bases. Coach from London departs 8:30am. Book here.
Mobilise for the International Conference Against War

On Monday 27 April we are holding an online mobilising meeting at 6:30pm for the International Conference Against War being held in London on 20 June. We urge all anti-war trade unionists and activists to join us.
European leaders are seeking to re-arm on a massive scale. They are openly promoting warfare at the expense of welfare as they prepare the continent for war.
We say lower your guns and raise our wages
Welfare not warfare
Jobs not conscription
Let’s build the conference together
The need for strong Europe-wide anti-war action has never been greater. The timing of our upcoming conference could hardly be more pertinent.
And now it’s time to mobilise. We need to raise awareness in our trade union branches and begin organising delegations and transport asap. We need as many activists as possible building for this crucial anti-war conference.
Join us at 6:30 on Monday 27 April to find out what you can do.
And make sure you get your tickets for the conference – 1,000 sold already.
