The fragile two-week ceasefire between Iran and the US remains in place but Trump’s heavy bombers remain ready to resume attacks from the runway of RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire.
Trump’s threats that a “whole civilization will die” if Iran doesn’t accept his demands was a shocking, thinly veiled threat to use nuclear weapons – an attack that could be launched by a nuclear-capable B-52 bomber based at Fairford. These reckless words make clear that it’s time for Starmer’s government to end its complicity in Trump’s illegal wars and close down the US bases in Britain for good!
Join CND and Stop the War Coalition on Saturday 25 April at RAF Fairford, to help us keep the spotlight on the base and send a strong message to Keir Starmer that he must stop Trump from using this base to illegally attack Iran. It’s time to send the US bombers home!

Why we are protesting at RAF Fairford!
RAF Fairford has been central to the US illegal war on Iran. Its long runway means it is one of only two bases in Europe from which long-range US bombers can take off and land. Huge B-1, B-2 and B-52 US bombers have been carrying out twice-daily bombing missions from the base, dropping 2,000lb bombs on Iran, before returning directly to Fairford.
Despite repeated government statements, it can give no guarantee where these planes are being deployed and it cannot rule out that war crimes are being committed from the base.
