Verdicts for Filton - press release

Sharing below the press release following the verdicts today at Woolwich – a split verdict- Zoe and Jordan Not Guilty, other 4 Guilty. Sam was found guilty of GBH but of the lesser charge of WITHOUT intent.
I am in touch with Zoe’s mum Clare, they are all very confused with the verdict and decisions of the judge.
If you haven’t yet seen their closing speeches, I highly recommend reading the words of these brave young folk. There have been many restrictions on what they could say in court, and there are still reporting restrictions on the terrorism link the courts are using for sentencing which means they will have to serve their ENTIRE sentence, no early release. https://realmedia.press/filton-6-closing-speech-1/
They have all ‘rehired’ their defense lawyers.
I’m off to volunteer with Amu’s best friend this morning – Amu is running in the local elections as an independent, from prison. Anne Alexander, who spoke at the protest, is supporting on the ground with campaigning for them.
So much inspiration from these incredibly brave folk.
