Coat of Hopes

We have had a lovely week with the Coat of Hopes! It has toured all around Salisbury, including to the Cathedral, museum, St Thomas’, the city centre and surrounding countryside. It was also greeted (and worn!) by the mayor, and has had a very positive reception by members of the public, with many people encountering the walking group asking to wear it. We will continue to look after it until it makes an appearance at People in the Park next Saturday.

Thank you to all of our members who have helped to organised this visit, including the route and locations, and to all of those who have accompanied it on its journey around Salisbury.

On Wednesday 13th there will be a repair session for the Coat at the Quaker Meeting House (51 Wilton Road, Salisbury SP2 7EF) from 2-6pm. Please feel free to drop in, and if you like bring scraps of any significant fabrics you would like to be part of the Coat, but any patches added must be small (50p size).
