Will you sign our petition to stop Israeli oil conglomerate Delek from profiting from Scotland’s Rosebank oil field?
For the last 78 years, Israel has destroyed the land of Palestine, leaving climate devastation, demolishing crops and farmland, and contaminating soil and water supplies. Its occupation works to isolate indigenous Palestinians from their land, spinning the fiction of an “empty land” from which Israeli settlers take whatever they please. Israeli apartheid also makes Palestinians much more vulnerable to the effects of global climate breakdown.
But it doesn’t stop there: Israel also has huge investments in the global fossil fuel industry, which is causing international climate crisis.
The Israeli oil conglomerate Delek provides essential services to Israel’s settlements in the West Bank, which are illegal under international law. In 2020, it won a tender to provide refuelling services for the Israeli military. Delek is also the largest shareholder in the British oil and gas company Ithaca Energy, from which it has received over $1billion in dividends since 2020.
The British government is currently deciding whether to give Ithaca Energy the green light to develop Rosebank oil field in Scottish waters. If Rosebank goes ahead, more than £200 million more profits could flow to Delek. It is essential that the government refuses to commit this climate outrage, which would send profits to genocidal Israel.
This Thursday 21 May in London, we will be joining a protest outside the Foreign Office, calling on the government to listen to our demands and stop Rosebank.

We stand with Palestinian land defenders, with the farmers whose ancient olive trees have been destroyed by Israeli tanks, with the families in Gaza with no drinking water. We stand against the British government’s complicity in Israel’s ongoing genocide, and recognise that the climate crisis which Israel is accelerating in Palestine has global implications.
