Andy Burnham’s new ‘Defence Investment Plan’ has committed £298 billion worth of investment to defence spending over the next four years, the largest sustained increase since the Cold War. If this doesn’t signal a marked shift to an economy on a war footing, then what does?

There is seemingly no end in sight for the genocide in Gaza, just a ‘Peace’ board led by Tony Blair, of all people. At home attacks are intensifying on the right to protest and the broader Palestine movement.
